Job Title: Financial Analyst 2
Project Duration: Contract, 6 months
Work Location: Corning, NY
Education: Minimum Bachelor's - Accounting or Business Administration
Pay Rate Options: $22.20 to $32.35/ Hourly (no Benefits)$41,050 to $59,750 Salaried Limited Benefits, DOE (vacation/holidays) $38,200 to $55,700 Salaried Full Benefits DOE (Vacation/holidays, med/dental, ST/LT disability, life insurance/AD&D)
Manage the monthly business financial consolidation and reporting
Monitor and report division financial performance to division management
Highlight variances that need corrective action
Monitor spending and work with department managers to control costs
Research and provide detail on expense variances
Drive Division finance process improvement
Provide financial analysis related to capital projects, strategic investments, cost reduction, and other initiatives as required
Purpose of Position
Ensure entity compliance with local regulations, GAAP accounting principles as well as company policies and procedures
Responsible for managing the period closing process preparation including posting of vouchers and accuracy of the general ledger
Ensure that required reporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for division management
Responsible for the financial portion of the budget and five-year planning process for the Division
Required Skills (MUST have to be considered)
General Accounting – minimum 5 years current experience
Intermediate MS Excel skills – minimum 3 years’ experience
Reconciliation experience – minimum 3 years
Analysis experience – minimum 3 years
Cost Accounting – minimum 2 years
3 to 5 years’ current relevant experience working on cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems
Previous/proven GAAP and cost accounting experience
Strong computer skills; intermediate skills in PowerPoint, general ledger systems and forecasting tools
Good analytical skills, presentation skills and problem solving capability
Must be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers.
Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environment
Corporate HQ, professional dress required
- Completed Bachelor's - Accounting or Business Administration
Desired Skills / Education (nice to have)
Auditing experience a huge plus!
Manufacturing/Cost Accounting experience
On the job experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix
Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes)
Expert Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Position relates to the organizations processes, procedures, controls and records for conduct and management of all aspects of financial transactions, events, and situations
Inclusive of accounting, budgetary controls, cash receipts and disbursements, payroll, credit and collections, financing, investments, risk management, tax and audit.
Requires experience with fiscal procedures such as general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and all other financial operations.
Anti-dumping trade litigation support
Gain understanding of anti-dumping regulations, particularly as it relates to cost side financial reporting
Coordinate and develop global financial responses related to anti-dumping (“AD”) trade litigation, cost side
Work with cross-functional global cost teams (finance, commercial, PLM, manufacturing) to coordinate cost response development
Develop/ audit team member submissions and documentation to ensure 100% accuracy
Organize and develop audit ready cost documentation to support verification audit
Potentially defend cost submission in international audit
General finance background required to support anti-dumping efforts and for ultimate transition into financial role
Possible travel to North Carolina, Washington DC or China
