Job Title: IT Desktop Support
Project Duration: Contract, 12 months
Project Location: Concord, NC
Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mon-Fri, OT possible w/ mgr. approval
Pay Rate: $17.48 to $24.97/Hourly, DOE (no Benefits)$15.53 to $22.21/hr. DOE Salaried Limited Benes (holidays / vacation) $14.47 to $20.67/hr. DOE Salaried Full Benes (medical / dental benes, holidays/vacation; ST/LT disability, life insurance/AD&D
MUST HAVE to be considered
Previous desktop support experience – must be current experience
Minimum of one year current experience in IT
Experienced setting up and imaging computers
Intermediate software knowledge of Altiris and Symantec products
Must be familiar with laptops, desktops, printers, LAN/WAN/Wireless networks in order to provide support to customers
Looking for a mix between customer service experience and a strong technical resource
Scope of Position
Responsible for the effective acquisition, installation, maintenance and use of desktop technology
May be responsible for the purchase and installation of hardware/software
Will represent the bridge between technology and business needs
Resolve problems with new and existing equipment
May train end users on software
Administer end user requests and projects
Coordinate resources to solve problems
Limited use and/or application of technical principles, theories and concepts
Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
Work is closely supervised
Must be able to follow specific, detailed instructions
May be assigned to small projects or to phase(s) of larger projects
Contribute to the completion of routine technical tasks
Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group
Possible frequent contact with external customer
- 4 year degree highly desired, but Computer/Network related training and/or experience would be considered in lieu of degree
