Lab Technician 2

We have a full-time Contract opportunity for a Lab Technician 2 to work onsite for our client, a Fortune 500 global supplier of paints, coatings, specialty materials at their Cheswick, PA location.

Position Overview:

The Technician will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid materials, liquids, and gases, and analyzing test data for variety of purposes, such as research, product development, quality control, and establishing standards, involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research, or process control

  • Perform tests and analyzes products to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics

  • Documents results of tests and analyses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Science, preferably Chemistry or a H.S. diploma with relatable skills to the position

  • Previous lab experience, especially in lab and testing, is highly preferred

  • Must be independent and accurate in conducting experiments

  • Proactive in communicating their everyday activities

  • Willing to learn non-routine tasks in order to help the team advance projects

  • Must be detailed-oriented and well organized

  • Efficient multitasking skills are required

  • Must be able to wear a respirator
