  • Installation and testing of BI4.0 application on sandbox.

  • Design, build and deploy the most appropriate technical infrastructure for Business Objects solutions implementation.

  • Responsible for designing & managing Universes, Reports and Dashboards, Migration of BO 6.5 to BO XIR2 & Administration of Business Objects XI R2, Business Objects 6.5

  • Responsible for analyzing business activity, developing, and deploying business solutions.

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test the Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of Source data into target Data Warehouse or Data Mart.

  • Responsible for designing and implementing physical data models based upon physical database structures to support business reporting and analytics.

  • Expert in designing, developing, maintaining and optimizing the Universes using Designer module.

  • Expert in Business Objects BO 4.0/XI 3.1/ 3.0/R2/6.5.

  • Expert in designing, developing, maintaining and optimizing the Universes using Designer module.

  • Knowledge about Business Objects Security Model and experience with Business Objects Security Implementation (Row level, Object level, Command level in both 6.5 and XIR 2).

  • Good working knowledge in all the phases of software development life cycle like and developing, scheduling, and publishing the documents.

  • Having data modeling capability, SQL skills, stored procedures and an understanding of database optimization and performance tuning.


  • Substantial experience in Business Objects Migration (5.1, 6.5 to XIR2/3.0/3.1/4.0).

  • Installation and Administration of entire hardware, and software products like Tomcat, and Apache (Clustered and Standalone environments).

  • Installation and configuration of all three environments (DEV/QA/PROD) with Business Objects XIR2/XIR3.2 with Apache and Tomcat as web and app servers on windows and Unix servers.

  • Leading, developing and implementing report solutions on Business Objects XI R2 Administration, Crystal Reports Server XI, Crystal Enterprise 10/9/8.5, Web Intelligence XI, Desktop Intelligence, Business Objects (BO) Universe Designer, Crystal Reports Explorer, Performance Manager, Dashboard Manager, Xcelcius, Migration of BO 6.5 to BO XIR2.

  • Effectively administered and supervised the Business Objects (SAP BI) environment by monitoring/granting permissions and rights to users for viewing, creating and publishing reports.

  • Expertise in working with all the modules of Business Objects (All Versions including XIR3) like Supervisor, Designer, BO User, Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, CMC, CMS, BCA, BO SDK and Crystal Reports.

  • Experience with Data Integrator for ETL (Extraction, Transformation, and Loading) of data from multiple sources database systems to Data Warehouses.

  • Strong experience in T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Packages.

  • Expertise evaluating the performance of SQL statements and PL/SQL modules.

  • Good knowledge and experience in data warehouse development life cycle, requirement analysis, dimensional modeling, and implementation of STAR, Snowflake schemas.

  • Experience in performance tuning, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks at various levels like source, target, mappings, and session.

  • Experience in writing system documents, technical documents, and user documentation and also writing training materials helpful for end users.

  • Strong exposure to Software Project Development full life cycle and batch processing.

  • Experience in creating Dashboards using metrics and analytics.

  • Experience in Business Objects XIR3.2, XIR2, XI, 6.X, Business Objects Designer, Report Infoview, Web Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence, Instance Manager, Query Builder.

  • Developed BO Universes using the Designer XI R2 for the reporting solution for operational reporting system.

  • Created interactive and ad-hoc reports with features like drill down, slice and dice, ranking, alerts, section and grouping.

  • Profiling data, using the data profiler and explaining, setting, adding, configuration and connecting data profiler.

  • Knowledge of designing the database, making the data relationship & data modeling.
