Our client in Andover, MA has an immediate opening for a Print Production Associate for a 12 month contract assignment.

Essential job functions:

** Shop employs staggered hours.

** Shop operates 8am-6pm Monday to Friday; extended hours when needed

** Possesses skills and competencies to deliver intermediate contracted customer requirements (document assembly and finishing).

** Ability to understand, learn and retain the knowledge of new tasks in a fair amount of time.

** Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Site handles cases of paper, toner and other heavy items.

** Point of contact to receive, review and electronically log customer jobs.

** Operate standard finishing equipment (e.g. paper cutters, inserters, laminating, and hole punchers).

** Operate office/production equipment (printer, copier, fax, scan).

** Track and coordinate the add, move or change of MFD assets at customer accounts.

** Clean and maintain production and MFDs when necessary.

** Process basic forms and update information using a PC.

** Process incoming print requests by entering data into tracking database and updating information in the database as needed to completion of projects.

** Wrap, pack, label, and ship finished product.

** Collect and submit meter reads as needed to meet billing deadlines.

** Maintain appropriate supply inventory, distribute supplies as required.

** Problem solve issues to complete production, delivery, and output requirements.

** Perform quality inspection before, during and after output of each production run.

** Sort and scan hardcopy materials or other mediums for use in printed documents or digital format; specific application training may be required and provided.

** Collect data and respond to print/copy equipment issues by using your knowledge of equipment, working with coworkers and/or contacting service personnel by phone/email.

** Operate high volume printers, copiers and scanners.

** Estimate, schedule and track incoming production jobs.

** Inspect files for problem areas, including fonts, image resolution and image registration as part of established quality control procedures.

** Perform operator maintenance on print, copy, cutting, binding, saddle stitching and folding equipment as needed to fix issues and improve performance.

** Maintain reporting logs and information for billing

** May develop work processes or templates to improve upon current procedures

** May operate high volume folding and inserting mail equipment

** May drive a 15 passenger van to transport mail, parcels and passengers between customer locations.

** Load and unload the van in a safe and efficient manner

Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

** Able to demonstrate computer skills and have functional knowledge of PC (keyboard functions, mouse, etc.)

** Able to demonstrate Intermediate use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

** Able to demonstrate working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.

** Able to learn basic functions of advanced programs such as Adobe InDesign.

* Able to demonstrate ability to use / locate devices (drives, files, printers) attached to network. * Able to demonstrate ability to send and receive emails

** Able to find, open and save documents and files; perform data entry.

** Able to demonstrate basic math skills (division, multiplication, percentages).

** Able to demonstrate business maturity and professionalism.

** Able to demonstrate lifting 50lbs in a safe manner.

** Pay close attention to detail and quality standards.

** Possess a driver's license that is not under suspension.

** Possess a clean driving record. The position will include driving a 15 passenger van for the transport of mail, parcels and passengers between customer locations.

** Adhere to established dress code standards.

** Adhere to established code of conduct guidelines.

* Workers acting as first responders require basic use of MS Office , sufficient to maintain reporting in Excel; web access knowledge and Internet skills, plus proficiency in PC connectivity to printers as well as printer configuration (setting default parameters)*


** Willing to train a good candidate willing to work hard in a fast paced print, mail, shipping & receiving and shuttle driving facility.

** Prior experience with print production and MFD equipment preferred; willing to train.


Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
