CTG's premier global client in Allison Park, PA has a 12-month contract assignment for a Chemist. There is the potential for extension after the initial contract period.

The W2 hourly pay rate will be $15.00/hr.

Job Description


The successful candidate will utilize Analytical Microscopy techniques for the purpose of supporting new product development efforts for coatings and chemical products business units.


Responsibilities will include sample preparation, data collection, data interpretation, report writing in the area of microscopy, particularly SEM/EDX, FTIR and Optical.


After successful training on microscopy, you will be expected to explore other analytical tools available at analytical department.


Must take initiative, be able to work independently, work well in a team, have good problem solving skills, and be able to clearly communicate their findings both verbally and through written reports.

Experience and Education


BS degree in Chemistry with 0-5 years experience.

Functional and Technical Skills


The successful candidate must be experienced in analytical instrumentation, careful sample preparation, and problem solving techniques.


Previous experience with the application of SEM/EDX, FTIR and optical microscopy microscopic techniques is desired.


The candidate must also possess good writing and interpersonal skills as well as organizational and multi-tasking abilities.


Good communication skills are required including the ability to effectively write reports and give presentations.


The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external customers is a must.
