Position: Provider Relations Support Specialist I
Location: Albany, NY - 12205
Duration: 12 months
The Provider Relations Support Specialist I is responsible for support activities for the Provider Relations department including documentation support, refund analysis, linking and/or quality review. Ensure production and quality standards are met.
Required Function 2:
Specializes in one or more of the Provider Relations support functions -- documentation support, refunds, linking or quality review. Documentation Support Provides timely response and resolution of all provider initiated responses and issues related to a notice of intent (NOI) disallowance.Reviews provider documentation to determine validity of claim for disallowance. Refunds Processes refunds to providers recouped in error.Contacts providers to obtain any necessary documentation to process refund.Interact with Program Directors to ensure funds are appropriated correctly. Linking. Receives and distributes mail for Provider Relations. Links all supporting documentation received to appropriate record. Routes faxes to appropriate department as needed. Quality Review. Reviews accuracy of all outgoing documentation (mail and faxes) from the Provider Relations department. Provides coaching and guidance to representatives to improve error rate.
Required Function 3:
Takes overflow inbound phone calls.
Required Function 4:
Provides back up support to other support function areas
Required Function 5:
Provide support on special projects including training, process improvement, etc.
Additional Job Requirement 1:
High School Diploma or GED required
Additional Job Requirement 2:
6 months Provider Relations Representative II experience
Additional Job Requirement 3:
Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word. Average manual dexterity in use of a PC, phone, sorting, filing and other office machines. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to be careful and thorough about detail. Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and Security rules. Ability to perform oral presentations with good quality. Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems. Ability to organize well. Ability to demonstrate a customer service orientation.
